To access your personal home page and the home pages for any groups you belong to, you must first log in. To log in, click Login in the top right corner of the Platipus Sports web site. Enter your Username and Password, then click Login.
After you log in, you’re taken to your own personal home page. When you first become a member of Platipus Sports, your personal home page will probably be fairly generic. But you can add information to your profile, such as a bio, a photo, or photos and videos, to make your personal home page tell everyone in your group more about you.
Wherever you are in the website, if you want to return to your personal home page, simply click Home in the top right-hand corner of the page.
To log out, click Log Out in the top right corner of the page.
1. Click Home in the top right corner of the screen to go to your personal home page.
2. Beneath your profile photo on the left side of the screen, click Edit Profile.
3. The Basics page appears. This page allows you to change information about yourself (your Profile). Type or change any information you wish, then click Update Information when finished.
§ Display name: The name you want to appear on your profile page, and the name that will appear on any comments you post.
§ Your name: First name, then last name
§ Your page link: Your home page under the default website. The location of your home page will be determined automatically.
§ Graduation: The year you graduated from college or high school
§ School: Your college or high school
§ Sport: The sport you play
§ Figure: Select Athlete, Student, Fan/Alum, HS Coach, or Recruiter from drop-down list
§ Height
§ Weight
§ Handed: Choose Left or Right from drop-down list
§ City
§ Zip
§ Gender
§ Birth date: Choose the month, day, and year from drop-down list
To change your password address, use the Edit Profile feature.
1. Click Home in the top right corner of the screen to go to your personal home page.
2. Beneath your profile photo on the left side of the screen, click Edit Profile.
3. On the left side of the screen, select Change Password. Enter your old password, then your new password, and retype your new password to confirm it. Click Update Information when finished.
To change your email address, use the Edit Profile feature.
1. Click Home in the top right corner of the screen to go to your personal home page.
2. Beneath your profile photo on the left side of the screen, click Edit Profile.
3. On the left side of the screen, select Change Password. In the Email Address field, enter your new email address, then click Update Information. (You do not need to enter your old password or create a new password, so leave those fields blank.)
4. Then click Resend confirmation email. An email will be sent to your new email address asking you to confirm your new address. To do this, open the email and click on the confirmation link in it. That will confirm your new email address.
To post information about yourself (such as your bio or season highlights) on your personal home page, use the Edit Profile feature. You can also use this section like a blog, updating your About information as frequently as you wish.

2. Beneath your profile photo on the left side of the screen, click Edit Profile.
3. On the left side of the screen, select About You. Type information about yourself, such as a brief bio or season highlights. You can also use this section as a blog, entering new information each week or even daily. Click Save Changes when finished.
Personal tags are like keywords that you want associated with your profile. Then photos, videos, and other types of content can be “tagged” with keywords that will allow members to sort them by various categories, but still have the content be associated with you. Some default categories of tags are provided, such as Dream College and Favorite Athletes. But you can also create your own categories of tags.
1. Click Home in the top right corner of the screen to go to your personal home page.
2. Beneath your profile photo on the left side of the screen, click Edit Profile.
3. On the left side of the screen, select Personal Tags. Under each Category, enter as many tags as you like for that category. Separate each tag with a space, or if you want to use two or more words as a single tag, enclose the words in double quotation marks. The following example specifies four tags (two single-word tags, and two 2-word tags):
Goal “Spring Season” Nevada “Las Vegas”
Do not use sentences, and do not paste in HTML content. To create your own categories, use the Other category on this screen, or click Create Your Own. Click Save Changes when finished.
To add a photo of yourself on your personal home page, use the Edit Profile feature.
1. Click Home in the top right corner of the screen to go to your personal home page.
2. Beneath your profile photo on the left side of the screen, click Edit Profile.
3. On the left side of the screen, click Your Photo.
4. Click Change. The dialog box that appears lets you browse for photos on your computer and upload them. Type the path to your photo file, or click Browse to select it. Then click Submit to upload the photo.
The Mail feature lets you send and received email messages.
1. Click Home in the top right corner of the screen to go to your personal home page.
2. Beneath your photo on the left side of the screen, the Mail section shows how many letters you have in your inbox. Click Mail to go to your Mailbox.
3. From your Mailbox, you can read incoming mail in your Inbox, or you can click Sent to see letters you’ve sent, or you can click Trash to see letters you’ve deleted (but which haven’t been permanently removed yet).
4. To read a new letter in your Inbox, simply click on the letter to open it. By default, incoming letters are displayed with the most recent messages at the top of the list. To change the sorting order so that most recent messages are at the bottom of the list, hover your mouse over the When column heading, then click the down arrow that appears. Instead of sorting by date, you can sort by the senders’ names by clicking the up or down arrow beside the From heading.
5. To delete an email, click the checkbox beside the email you’re deleting, then open the drop-down menu beside Move Selected To and choose either Trash or Mail Heaven. Selecting Trash will move the email from your Inbox to your Trash folder, where you can still access it. Selecting Mail Heaven will remove the email permanently. You will not be able to retrieve the email from your Trash folder.
6. To write and send a letter, click Compose New Letter. Then type the recipient’s username in the To field. (To remove a recipient, click the red X beside the recipient’s name.) Type a subject title in the Subject field. Then type your letter in the Message field. When finished, click Send. If you change your mind and decide you don’t want to send the letter, click Close. The letter will NOT be saved.
Note: You can only send letters to other members of your group in Platipus Sports. If your recipient’s name or email address is not an authorized member of your group, you will not be able to send a letter to them.
On the left side of your personal home page, the Activity section displays the types of tasks you’ve completed on your home page lately, such as uploading photos or videos.
To remove an item from the Activity list, click the X to the right of the activity.
You can upload and display photos on your personal home page. After you’ve uploaded photos to your home page, you can also choose to display them on a group’s home page. (See “Add Photos to a Group’s Home Page.”)

2. The Photos section displays the photos you’ve uploaded. To enlarge a particular photo on the screen, click that photo’s image.
3. To upload a new photo or edit the description of an existing photo, click the Photos heading above the images. The screen that appears will display the photos you’ve already uploaded.
4. To upload a new photo, click Upload.
You can upload up to ten photos at a time. To upload a photo, click the first Browse button, then select your photo file from your hard disk and click Open. To add a second photo, click the second Browse button and select another photo file. Continue until you’re selected all the photos you want to upload.
Then if you want, type tags in the Tags field. The same tags will apply to every photo you upload in this batch. If you want different tags for each photo, upload each photo one at a time instead of all ten at once, or upload all the photos without tags now and add tags later, as explained in Step 6.
Separate each tag with a space, or if you want to use two or more words as a single tag, enclose the words in double quotation marks. The following example specifies four tags (two single-word tags, and two 2-word tags):

When finished selecting photos and specifying tags, click Upload.
5. If you want to change the tags or descriptions of photos after you’ve uploaded them, click Edit as a Batch.
6. From this screen, you can change the title of each photo. You can also add or edit a description for each photo, and you can add, edit, or delete the tags for each individual photo. When finished making changes, click Submit.
7. To delete a photo from your list of photos, hover the mouse over the photo’s image, and select Delete from the pop-up menu that appears.
You can upload and display videos on your personal home page. After you’ve uploaded videos to your home page, you can also choose to display them on a group’s home page. (See “Add Videos to a Group’s Home Page.”)

2. The Videos section displays the photos you’ve uploaded. To play a particular video on the screen, click that video’s image.
3. To upload a new video or edit the description of an existing video, click the Videos heading above the images. The screen that appears will display the videos you’ve already uploaded.
4. To upload a new video, click Upload.
You can upload up to ten videos at a time. To upload a video, click the first Browse button, then select your video file from your hard disk and click Open. To add a second video, click the second Browse button and select another video file. Continue until you’re selected all the videos you want to upload.
Then if you want, type tags in the Tags field. The same tags will apply to every video you upload in this batch. If you want different tags for each video, upload each video one at a time instead of all ten at once, or upload all the videos without tags now and add tags later, as explained in Step 6.

When finished selecting videos and specifying tags, click Upload.
5. After you’ve uploaded videos, you can change their tags or descriptions, and you can specify who can view them. To do this, click Edit as a Batch.
To specify who can view a video, click the drop-down list beside Who can view this video? and select Just Me or Anyone. Anyone includes all members of the Platipus Sports Network.
From this screen, you can also add, edit, or delete the tags for each video. When finished making changes, click Submit.
6. To delete a video from your list of videos, hover the mouse over the video image, and select Delete from the pop-up menu that appears.
From your personal home page, you can see all the groups in your club. Note: Only Club Administrators can create a new group.

2. Click Groups. The screen that appears will display all the groups in your club.
3. To access a group’s home page, click the group’s icon.
From your personal home page, you can see the other members of your club.

2. Click Members. The screen that appears will display all the members in your club.
3. To see a list of just the members, and not the Club Admin and Group Admins, click members. To see a list of the club’s Club Admin and Group Admins, click admins.
From your personal home page, you can see the comments that other members of your club have posted. You can also post your own comment or reply to someone else’s comment. You can also post comments on another member’s home page or on a group page.
1. Click Home in the top right corner of the screen to go to your personal home page. From here you can read or post comments on your own page.
If you want to post a comment on another member’s page, click that member’s icon in the Members section. If you want to post a comment on a group’s page, click that group’s icon in the Groups section.
2. Under the Comments section, you can see comments other members have posted on the page, and you can add your own comment.
3. To post a new comment, type your comment in the Add New Comment field, then click Send.
4. To reply to an existing comment, click Reply and type your comment. Then click Send.
5. To delete an existing comment, click Delete.
Every member of your club has a personal home page. Every member of the club can see every other member’s home page. You can also post comments or add photos or videos to other users’ home pages.
1. Click Home in the top right corner of the screen to go to your personal home page.
2. In the Members section, click the photo of the member whose home page you want to see.
From this home page, you can see information about this member, read and post comments, and view photos and videos.
A group’s home page is very similar to a member’s personal home page. Every member of the club can see a group’s home page.
1. Click Home in the top right corner of the screen to go to your personal home page.
2. In the Groups section, click the photo of the group whose home page you want to see.
From this home page, you can see information about this group, read and post comments, read and post news or announcements, view photos and videos, upload your own photos and videos, and even view documents that the Group Admin has posted.
From a group’s home page, you can see news or announcements other members have posted, and you can post your own announcements.
1. To add an announcement to the News/Announcements section, type your subject in the Subject field, then type your announcement in the Message field.
2. When finished, click Add News/Announcements. Remember that this message will be posted on the group’s home page, so every member will be able to see it.
You can add photos to a group’s home page so that all members of the group can see them. Before you can add a photo to the group home page, the photo must first be uploaded onto your own personal home page. (See “Upload Photos onto Your Home Page” for help.)
1. The Photos section on the group’s home page displays the photos that members have already posted to the group page. To enlarge a photo on the screen, click that photo’s image.
2. To add a new photo or edit the description of an existing photo, click the Photos heading above the images. Then click (add yours).
If you’ve already uploaded photos to your personal home page, those photos will be displayed. Click the photos you want to post on the group page and click Add.
If you haven’t uploaded any photos to your own personal home page yet, or if you want to upload a new photo, click Upload Now. Then click Browse to locate the photo on your hard disk, add any tags you wish, and click Submit. When it’s uploaded, go back to the group’s home page, open Photos again, and then select your new photo and click Add.
If you are still having trouble uploading photos to the group page contact your group administrator for assistance.
You can add videos to a group’s home page so that all members of the group can see them. Before you can add a video to the group home page, the video must first be uploaded onto your own personal home page. (See “Upload Videos onto Your Home Page” for help.)

2. To add a new video, click the Videos heading above the images. Then click (add yours).
3. If you’ve already uploaded videos to your personal home page, those videos will be displayed. Click the videos you want to post on the group page and click Add.
If you haven’t uploaded any videos to your own personal home page yet, or if you want to upload a new video, click Upload. Then click Browse to locate the video on your hard disk, add any tags you wish, and click Upload. When it’s uploaded, go back to the group’s home page, open Videos again, and then select your new video and click Add.
If you are still having trouble uploading photos to the group page contact your group administrator for assistance.
The Documents section on the group’s home page lists all documents that have been posted on the group’s home page. Any club member can read these documents. Only a Group Admin or a Club Admin can upload documents to a group’s home page.
1. To read an existing document in the Documents section of the group’s home page, click on the document title. A dialog appears, asking if you want to save the file to your hard disk or open the file in your browser window.
2. Click either Open or Save, depending on how you want to access the document.
